Elisabeth Orr is an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at West Virginia University. A licensed landscape architect and principal of Radish Studio in Pittsburgh, she specializes in cultural landscapes, particularly burial landscapes in Appalachia. Her work bridges academia and practice, combining research, design, and preservation efforts.

Her research focuses on uncovering the historical and cultural significance of Appalachian cemeteries, emphasizing their role in regional identity. This work has been highlighted in Landscape Architecture Magazine and recognized with the Most Outstanding Paper Award (2016) from the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture. Orr’s publications also intersect with environmental planning and cultural heritage documentation.
