Elisa Rubbo

Elisa Rubbo serves as Assistant Professor of Economics and Liew Family Junior Faculty Fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she joined in 2022 after completing postdoctoral positions at Princeton University and the Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Economics, Harvard University (2020)
• Master in Economics (Allievi program), Collegio Carlo Alberto
• M.A. and B.A. in Mathematics, University of Torino

Her research centers on macroeconomic dynamics and international trade, with particular emphasis on how aggregate economic variables propagate through heterogeneous industry structures and labor market segments. This work bridges theoretical macroeconomic frameworks with empirical analysis of sectoral responses to policy shocks.
