Elisa Riedo is Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and Professor of Physics at NYU's College of Arts and Science. She previously held the position of Professor of Physics at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2015.
- Education: Summa cum laude B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Milano, with a joint thesis involving the European Synchrotron Research Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble, France. Postdoctoral research at EPFL, Switzerland.
- Research Interests: Pioneering work in thermal scanning probe lithography (tSPL) for nanofabrication, graphene and 2D materials with applications in quantum computing, nanoelectronics, and biomedical devices. Fundamental contributions in nanomechanics, diamene, and nanoconfined water.

- Elected to the prestigious Academy of Europe
- Research Trends: Combines graphene stacking domains, MXene films for EMI shielding, and field-effect transistor biosensors using tSPL technology. Recent focus on quantum Hall effects, superconductivity, and scalable fabrication methods.
