Elisa Bastianello is a Digital Humanities Scientist and Digital Publications Manager at the Bibliotheca Hertziana - Max Planck Institute for Art History since 2019. She holds a Ph.D. in History of Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Venice Iuav and has been part of the editorial board and webmaster for La Rivista di Engramma at Centro Studi ClassicA Iuav since 2006. Her research focuses on the intersection of digital humanities with architectural history, paleography, and the study of spaces for music and performances.

Elisa has co-authored numerous articles in the fields of digital humanities, architectural history, and manuscript studies. Her recent work (2022–2024) emphasizes data provenance, citation harmonization, and the development of digital publishing infrastructure. Earlier contributions (2019–2020) focus on translating literary works, exhibitions like 'Pop-App,' and the Renaissance-era treatise Spectacula by Pellegrino Prisciani.
She has collaborated with institutions such as the University of Venice Iuav and the Bibliotheca Hertziana, contributing to the evolution of digital scholarly editions and transdisciplinary research infrastructure. Her role combines technical expertise in digital publications with deep historical knowledge of Venetian and Italian Renaissance architecture.
