Eliah Overbey

Eliah Overbey serves as an Assistant Professor of Bioastronautics at the University of Austin (UATX), having previously held a research associate position at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her research focuses on genomic changes in astronauts during spaceflight, with significant contributions to the SpaceX Inspiration4 mission and ongoing work on the Axiom-2 and Polaris Dawn missions.

Research Interests: Dr. Overbey specializes in space medicine, genomics, and astronaut health monitoring. She founded the Space Omics and Medical Atlas (SOMA), the largest repository of molecular data from astronauts, and is instrumental in advancing healthcare systems for space exploration through her role at BioAstra.

Professional Roles: Vice Chair of the Cornell Aerospace Medicine Biobank (CAMbank) and Chief Scientific Officer at BioAstra, a nonprofit dedicated to developing astronaut healthcare solutions.
