Eli Visbal is an Associate Professor in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Toledo. With a PhD from Harvard University, his theoretical research explores the first stars and galaxies, cosmic reionization, and supermassive black hole formation.
Using numerical simulations and analytical calculations, he models early universe phenomena observable through instruments like the James Webb Space Telescope. Research interests include primordial star formation, 21-cm line tomography, and black hole seeding mechanisms.
Recent publications focus on dark matter halo properties, cosmic dawn simulations, and line-intensity mapping techniques. His group develops predictive models for galactic properties and cosmological parameters.
