Elenora Uglik-Marucha is a Researcher at King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), based in the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics. Her work focuses on psychometrics, autism spectrum disorder, and questionnaire development. She holds a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry, and a PGDip in Applied Statistical Modelling & Health Informatics.
Her research interests include gender bias in autism screening, cross-cultural validation of psychometric tools, and measurement invariance analysis. She contributes to the Psychometrics & Measurement Lab, particularly through the S-Five study on misophonia and the development of autism assessment questionnaires for women.
Nora supports teaching in statistical methods for MSc programs in Affective Disorders and Clinical Neuropsychiatry, as well as 'Contemporary Psychometrics' for the Applied Statistical Modelling & Health Informatics program. Her recent publications explore misophonia prevalence, autism screening frameworks, and eating disorder evaluation tools in global contexts.
Her doctoral research, funded by an NIHR Doctoral Fellowship, centers on creating gender-sensitive autism assessment tools for women. Supervised by Dr. Silia Vitoratou, Prof. Francesca Happé, and Dr. Hannah Belcher, this work addresses underdiagnosis and bias in existing screening methods.
