Elena Zocchi is a Full Professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine (DIMES) within the School of Medicine at the University of Genova. She specializes in Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology, teaching courses across multiple graduate programs in Medicine, Surgery, and Biological Sciences.
Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms regulating energy metabolism, particularly through hormonal systems like the ABA/LANCL receptor pathway, and exosome-mediated communication in physiological and pathological contexts. Current projects explore thermogenesis regulation and transcription factor networks in metabolic control.
