Elaine Clarke is a Researcher at the University of Sheffield's Psychology, Sociology & Politics department, affiliated with the Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology (CeBSAP) and the Social and Economic Research Institute. She holds a PhD in Psychology (2020) and a BSc from the University of Sheffield (2005). Her research focuses on psychodermatology, mental health interventions, and behavioral science applications in public health. She has conducted pioneering work on compassion-based self-help platforms for skin condition patients and contributed to studies on vaccine hesitancy and pandemic response behaviors. In 2022, she secured an Early Career Researcher grant from the Psoriasis Association for developing patient support tools.
