Dr. Elaine Callinan is a Lecturer in History at Carlow College, where she serves as Programme Director for the BA & BA (Hons) in Arts & Humanities and the MA & PgD in Irish Regional History. She holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, specializing in Irish revolutionary-era history, and teaches on courses including English & History and Humanities. Her academic background includes a first-class B.A. in Humanities from Carlow College and an M.Phil. in History from Trinity College Dublin, alongside a Dioplóma sa Ghaeilge (Irish Language Diploma) from NUI Galway.

- 17th-18th century global and Irish history
- Nineteenth/twentieth-century Irish state formation
