Ekin Ok is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Behavioural Science from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (2022), and prior degrees include a Master of Management (2012) and dual Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (2011) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social and Political Sciences (2009), all from Sabanci University.
Research Interests:
- Consumer-brand relationships and their impact on identity
- Social influences in consumer decision-making
- Moral and ethical judgments in decision-making contexts
- Interpersonal relationships in workplace and consumer contexts
Her work has been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and presented at conferences like ACR, SCP, and AOM. She teaches Principles of Marketing in the undergraduate program and serves as a reviewer for major consumer behavior conferences.
Professional affiliations include roles as a conference reviewer for the Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP), Association of Consumer Research (ACR), and Academy of Management (AOM).
