Ehsan Toreini is a Lecturer in Software Security at the University of Surrey's Surrey Centre for Cyber Security (SCCS), and a visiting academic in the Department of Computer Science at Durham University. He holds a PhD from Newcastle University, specializing in secure systems and protocols. His research focuses on physical security, trustworthy machine learning, web security, and privacy-preserving technologies, with over 35 peer-reviewed publications and two US patents.
Dr. Toreini's work has led to impactful contributions, including mitigations deployed in major browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Apple iOS), standardization at W3C, and recognition such as the Kaspersky Lab Cyber Security Award (2016).
