Edwina Fitzpatrick is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London. She specializes in environmental art, exploring intersections of urban and natural landscapes, climate change impacts, and collaborative interdisciplinary practices. Her work emphasizes mutability, the Anthropocene, and inclusive community engagement.
Education: Completed her AHRC-funded collaborative practice-based PhD at Glasgow School of Art (2010–2014), focusing on landscape-archives and the psychological dimensions of climate anxiety.
Professional Roles: Served as External Examiner for MFA/MA programs at Plymouth College of Art (2016–2020) and participated in a PhD viva at the Slade School of Art (UCL, 2019). Currently supervises PhD students in research-based art practices, including topics like environmental depletion, Cornish landscape identities, and mining river scapes.
Research Projects: Leads the Archive of the Trees and Grizedale Art Archive projects, investigating ecological narratives and site-specific art. Collaborates with horticulturalists, engineers, architects, and composers to bridge art and scientific disciplines.
