Edwin Liu

Edwin Liu is a Lecturer in the School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he has taught since 2013. He holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic, Pomona. His research focuses on digital fabrication and ceramics, with a practice emphasizing experiential and exhibition design.

He leads ISOFORM, a design consultancy collaborating with clients like Samsung, Google, and Harman/Kardon on large-scale installations and pavilions. Liu has also taught at Pratt Institute and Columbia University's School of Professional Studies, and served as a critic at institutions including Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to RPI, he worked at Gehry Partners on high-profile projects such as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Barclays Center.

His teaching spans undergraduate design studios, graduate seminars, and visualization workshops. He maintains a dual professional identity as both an educator and a designer, bridging academic and industry practices.
