Edit Talpsepp is a Research Fellow in Philosophy of Science at the Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics, within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Tartu. She has held this position since 2021, following previous research appointments at the same institution dating back to 2013. Her academic background includes a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Bristol (2013) focused on species concepts and essentialism in evolutionary theory, an MA in Philosophy and History of Science from Bristol (2007), and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Tartu (2004).
