Eduard Parhomenko is a Junior Lecturer in the History of Philosophy at the University of Tartu, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics. He has held academic positions since 1990, including roles as Lecturer, Assistant, and Editor for the interdisciplinary journal Akadeemia. His research focuses on the history of philosophy, continental philosophy, and intellectual history, with particular emphasis on figures like Kant, Heidegger, and Merleau-Ponty. He has contributed to projects such as the Centre of Excellence in Estonian Studies (TK145) and Normativity: Critical Study of Philosophical Foundations. Parhomenko has published extensively on topics including Kantian ethics, Heideggerian hermeneutics, and Estonian intellectual history. He serves as an editor for Studia Philosophica Estonica and is a contact for the Nordic and East-European Forum for Philosophy at Tartu University.
Education includes a Research Master's Degree from University of Tartu (1998) on G.B. Jäsche's pantheism concepts and a doctoral study on Heidegger's language and historical being.
