Dr. Edina Harbinja is a Reader in Media/Privacy Law at Aston University, affiliated with the Aston Law School within the College of Business and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on privacy, data protection, post-mortem privacy, digital regulation, and AI ethics. She has published extensively on legal issues surrounding internet technologies and emerging trends, particularly in post-mortem privacy where she is a recognized pioneer. Her work has influenced legislation in the UK, Australia, and the US, and she collaborates with tech companies, legal institutions, and civil society.
Edina holds senior editorial roles, including co-chief editor of the EUP 'Future Law' book series and editorial board membership at Computer Law and Security Review.
