Edie Meidav

Edie Meidav is a Provost Professor at UMass Amherst’s MFA for Poets and Writers program. She is a celebrated author of novels like Lola, California and Crawl Space, and her hybrid lyric novel Another Love Discourse (MIT Press, 2022) won the Big Other Fiction Prize.

Her work has received prestigious honors including the Bard Fiction Prize, Kafka Award, Howard Fellowship, and recognition from Lannan, Whiting, and Fulbright organizations. She has been featured as an editorial pick by the New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

Research and creative interests span experimental literature, fiction writing, and interdisciplinary storytelling. Her students include Ana Menéndez and Pablo Medina.
