Erika T. Wurth is an Adjunct Professor and Affiliate Faculty member in the Creative Writing program at Regis College. An urban Native writer of Apache/Chickasaw/Cherokee descent, she has gained national recognition for her novel White Horse, which was featured as a New York Times Editors' Pick, Good Morning America Buzz Pick, and selected by Indie Next, Target, and Book of the Month (BOTM). She has held prestigious fellowships at Kenyon and Sewanee and contributes to interdisciplinary projects like the Meow Wolf Denver installation.
Research and Teaching Focus: Her work spans multiple genres including creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry, with a particular emphasis on speculative fiction (horror, science fiction, fantasy) and crime fiction. She mentors students in narrative craft, genre conventions, and long-form manuscript development.
