Edi Jurkovic

Edi Jurkovic is a Professorial Lecturer and part-time faculty at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, George Mason University. He holds a PhD from George Mason University (2021) and a Master’s degree (2013). Previously, he served in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, holding leadership roles before transitioning to academia. He has also taught at George Washington University and the University of Georgia in Tbilisi. His research focuses on data analysis methodologies and social injustice within international relations contexts.

• Teaching Experience: Courses include International Affairs Research Methodology (IAFF 3172), Conflict and Conflict Resolution (IAFF 2101), and Conflict and Our World (CONF101).
• Awards: Recognized with the State Department’s Franklin Award for exceptional initiative and judgment in his work.

Edi’s academic journey includes roles as a Knowledge Management Assistant, Research and Teaching Assistant, and Graduate Lecturer during his studies. He emphasizes practical application of research methods in conflict resolution frameworks.
