Prof. Eddy Davelaar is a full Professor of Psychology and Applied Neuroscience at the School of Psychological Sciences, University of London. He holds a PhD from Birkbeck, University of London (2003), and earlier degrees from Maastricht University. His research focuses on cognitive aging, neurofeedback, and cognitive enhancement through interventions. He leads projects on cognitive decline prevention and neurocognitive mechanisms of brain training. Administrative roles include directing the MSc Psychology (conversion) and MSc Psychological Research Methods programs.
Research interests include human memory interactions, racial bias determinants, and neurofeedback applications. Collaborations emphasize co-designing interventions with target populations. Over 150+ peer-reviewed articles span cognitive neuroscience and aging, with recent work on EEG neurofeedback and mental strategy optimization.
