معرفی
David White is an Associate Professor and Director of Swinburne Neuroimaging at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Health Sciences. As Research Lead at the Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences, he investigates neurocognitive effects of nutritional and nutraceutical interventions in healthy adults and at-risk aging populations using EEG, MRI and MEG.
Research examines mechanisms by which interventions enhance neurocognitive health, including neurofeedback, nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle interventions. Current projects include biochemical analysis of dairy interventions for sleep quality and acute/long-term effects of nutraceuticals on neurocognition.
Major grants include the Cognitive Aging, Nutrition and Neurogenesis trial and Australian Electrophysiology Data Analytics Platform. Clinical trials investigate effects of complex milk lipids, multivitamin preparations, and nutritional mixtures on cognitive function.
Publications focus on neuroimaging methodology development and nutritional neuroscience applications for cognitive aging.
Supervises PhD projects on hearing/sleep impacts on cognitive decline and neurofeedback efficacy. Laboratory specializes in multimodal neuroimaging and electrophysiological assessment.
