Eda Celik is a faculty member at the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University, joining in summer 2024. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (2008) and completed postdoctoral work at Cornell University (2009-2011). Her research bridges biomolecular engineering, bioprocess development, and biomedical applications.

Her research focuses on bioprocess engineering, antibody engineering, RNA delivery systems, and computational modeling of biomolecular interactions. Recent work includes DNA aptamer development for cancer targeting, single-chain antibody fragment purification, and nanoparticle-based siRNA delivery.
Eda Celik has received prestigious awards including the UNESCO-L’Oréal National Fellowship for Young Women in Science (2014) and the Outstanding Young Scientist Granting Award (2016), alongside multiple TUBITAK scholarships during her academic training.
She teaches courses such as ChemE 2880 – Biomolecular Engineering, ChemE 5430 – Bioprocess Engineering, and ChemE 6430 – Advanced Principles of Biomolecular Engineering, reflecting her expertise in translational biomolecular technologies.
