EDA KARGI

Assoc. Prof. Dr. EDA KARGI is a faculty member at the Department of Basic Education within the Faculty of Education at Eastern Mediterranean University. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology (Ankara University, 2009), an MA in Psychological Services in Education (Ankara University, 2003), and a BS in Psychology (Istanbul University, 1994). Her research focuses on early childhood education, play-based learning, creativity development, and multicultural pedagogical practices. She has extensively studied parental influence on child development, preschool teacher efficacy, and cross-cultural play behaviors. Her work includes developing pedagogical documentation frameworks inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and analyzing the impact of toys on cognitive growth.

Key contributions include examining pandemic effects on children’s play activities, evaluating family-school collaboration strategies, and exploring cultural dynamics in preschool environments.
