Laura Gloege

Laura Gloege is a Lecturer at the School of Education, Counseling and Human Development, South Dakota State University. She serves as Co-coordinator of the SDSU Preschool, specializing in mentoring and enrollment, and acts as a Mentor Teacher in the preschool. Her academic background includes a M.S. in child and family studies and dual B.S. degrees in early childhood education and elementary education.

Her research interests focus on Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy, inquiry-based teaching methodologies, and early literacy development. She actively contributes to professional organizations such as the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance.

Gloege has secured grants under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, and the American Rescue Plan Act. She is affiliated with the Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education and the Teacher Education Program. Her office is located in Room 133 at the Pugsley Center, Pugsley Cont Ed Center, Brookings, SD 57007.
