E. Nicole Melton

E. Nicole Melton is a Department Chair and Professor of Sport Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a PhD from Texas A&M University (2012), along with MS and BBA degrees from the same institution. Her academic career includes roles at Texas Tech University and Seattle University before joining UMass. Her research focuses on diversity/inclusion in sport organizations, ally behaviors among athletes, and strategic diversity management. Current work examines LGBTQ+ inclusion policies, gender equity, and fan behavior dynamics.
