Dustin Sells is a Professor of Language Arts at Southwestern Christian University, hired in 2019. He holds a PhD (in progress) from Oklahoma State University, an MA from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a MAGL from Fuller Theological Seminary. His specialties include Film Studies, Literature, and Theology of Culture. He teaches courses such as English Composition, American Literature, and Film and Theology. His research interests focus on Genre Film, Gothic Literature, and Spirituality in the Arts.
Dr. Sells has published work on theological themes in popular media, including an essay in *The Walking Dead Live! Essays on the Television Show*. His mission emphasizes critical thinking and engaging the world through faith, reflected in his teaching philosophy and favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 3:20-21. He is based in Roberson Hall 106 and serves the campus community through regular office hours and academic advising.
