Duncan Guest

Dr. Duncan Guest is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Psychology at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), leading one of the UK's largest psychology departments. His roles include overseeing teaching quality, research strategy, and strategic development across 130+ staff. He has held key positions including Head of Psychology Academy and Deputy Head during the pandemic response.

His research spans cognitive psychology applications in real-world contexts: visual cognition (aging effects), disaster management (Covid-19 response evaluations), mobility scooter safety (developing training tools), and consumer behavior (brand perception). He leads NTU's Social Science Methods Hub and serves as Deputy Chair of the British Psychological Society Research Board.

Research highlights include ESRC-funded disaster studies, Road Safety Trust-funded mobility scooter projects, and innovative drowning detection training methods.
