Drew Cratsenberg

Drew Cratsenberg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetic Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI), where he also serves as a licensed and certified genetic counselor. He provides clinical services at MMI and affiliated Nebraska Medicine clinics, including outreach locations across Nebraska.

Education:

• BS in Biotechnology, University of Nebraska at Omaha, 2014

His primary research and clinical focus lies in the genetics of hereditary cardiovascular conditions, including cardiomyopathies, aortopathies, arrhythmias, and dyslipidemias. He also investigates how individuals share genetic diagnosis information with at-risk family members, contributing to both clinical care and genetic literacy in families.

He is actively involved in professional development and education, serving as a clinical supervisor and contributing to the development of UNMC’s genetic counseling graduate degree program.

Drew Cratsenberg is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counseling and its Cardiovascular Special Interest Group. He plays a key role in expanding genetic services through collaboration between MMI and Nebraska Medicine, particularly in adult and cardiac genetics programs.
