Gwen Reiser

Gwen Reiser is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) in the Department of Genetic Medicine, where she has served since 1989. She is a licensed and certified genetic counselor, leading the Hereditary Cancer Clinic and providing clinical services at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. Her work spans clinical care, education, and research in cancer genetics.

Her work emphasizes familial cancer risk assessment and management, with contributions to national clinical guidelines.

Her two most recent publications explore Cowden Syndrome in young males and patient perceptions of genetic counseling. These reflect her dual focus on clinical genetics and patient-centered outcomes.
