Anne Woodruff Jameson

Anne Woodruff Jameson, PT, DPT, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy program within the College of Allied Health Professions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha. She joined the faculty as a transfer employee from the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI), where she had been working since 2016.

Dr. Jameson's research and clinical interests focus on several key areas including pediatrics, pelvic health, and home health physical therapy. Her work specifically addresses access issues for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities seeking competitive wage employment and access to women's health services. This focus led her to pursue doctoral studies examining physical therapists' potential to improve these access issues.

As an educator, Dr. Jameson brings extensive experience working with physical therapy students as a clinical instructor. Her transition to a full faculty role reflects her passion for education, with plans to coordinate courses and increase her teaching responsibilities while maintaining some clinical and research work. She considers it humbling to join the group of educators who were her own mentors during her time in UNMC's physical therapy program.

Dr. Jameson was born and raised in Omaha, completed her undergraduate degree at Truman State University in Missouri, and returned to Omaha for her physical therapy education at UNMC. Prior to joining UNMC's faculty, she gained diverse clinical experience working as a pediatric physical therapist in Michigan and North Carolina, and at the Munroe-Meyer Institute since 2016.
