Dragan Nonić is a Full Professor at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Forestry, specializing in forest policy, economics, and climate governance. He holds academic positions including Head of Doctoral Studies in Forestry and Editorial Board Member of the Bulletin of the Faculty of Forestry. His career spans roles from assistant to Full Professor (2015), with extensive international engagements as a guest lecturer, researcher, and project coordinator in Europe.
Education & Academic Path: Completed studies at Belgrade’s Faculty of Forestry in 1987, earned a Master’s (1994) and Doctorate (2004). Held scholarships at DAAD (1995-96), Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (1998-2000), and visiting research fellowships in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
Research Interests: Focus on forest governance frameworks, private forest ownership, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development. He has authored over 200 scientific papers, including works in Forest Policy and Economics and Climate Action encyclopedia editorship. His research emphasizes institutional frameworks for forest management and policy analysis.
