Jelena Nedeljković

Dr. Jelena Nedeljković is an Associate Professor at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Forestry. She holds a PhD in Forestry (2015) and has been recognized for her expertise in Forest Policy, Economics, and Sustainable Management. She is affiliated with IUFRO research groups 9.06.00 (Forest Law and Environmental Legislation) and 9.05.03 (Cross-sectoral Policy Impacts on Forests & Environment).

Education:

• B.Sc. in Forestry, University of Belgrade (2008)
• Ph.D. in Forestry, University of Belgrade (2015, GPA 10.00)

Research Interests focus on Climate Change Governance, Non-Timber Forest Products, Entrepreneurship in Forestry, and Protected Areas Management. She has published over 100 articles, including in Forests, Forest Policy and Economics, and Land Use Policy.

Awards include the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s Georg Forster Fellowship (2016-2017) and scholarships from EFI and FOPER II. She leads projects on sustainable forest management, policy frameworks, and climate resilience.

Teaching spans undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, including courses like Organization and Business in Forestry and Bioeconomy in Forestry.
