Doron Levit is the Marion B. Ingersoll Endowed Professor of Finance and Business Economics at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2020, and as a Lecturer from 2010 to 2011.

His research spans several key areas in finance and economics, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate social responsibility, and corporate finance. His work often explores the intersection of institutional investor behavior and firm-level governance mechanisms.
His recent publications reflect a strong focus on how common ownership affects market dynamics, shareholder democracy, and managerial incentives. He also investigates the implications of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors on market power and corporate decision-making.
