Bond’s research focuses on the intersection of finance, business economics, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policies. His work examines how ESG initiatives interact with market power dynamics, stakeholder welfare, and corporate governance frameworks. He has contributed to understanding competitive strategies in firms with monopsony or monopoly power through ESG adoption cycles.
Bond’s recent publications include analyses of ESG’s anti-competitive and pro-competitive effects, particularly in labor markets and consumer pricing. His 2024 paper with Doron Levit, which won the ECGI Finance Prize, explores how purposeful firms balance profits and stakeholder welfare to counteract market power distortions.
Scientific Awards:
- 2024 ECGI Finance Prize for the Best Paper in the ECGI Finance Working Paper Series
Bond collaborates with scholars like Doron Levit, Alex Edmans, and Itay Goldstein on topics spanning M&A, labor economics, and ESG-driven corporate strategy. His work bridges theoretical finance with practical implications for responsible capitalism and stakeholder-oriented governance models.
