Dora Schneider

Univ.-Prof. Dora Schneider is a professor of Acting at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) since 2013. She also teaches as a guest lecturer at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). Her career spans freelance directing in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, specializing in spoken theater, children/youth theater, and music theater. She focuses on premieres and hybrid projects blending drama and musical performance.

• Education: Graduated from the Max Reinhardt Seminar in directing.

Her work emphasizes innovative interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of theater and music. She served as a juror for the Mülheimer Theatertagen in 2021 and joined the selection committee for the Mülheimer KinderStückePreis in 2022. She actively contributes to artistic-scholarly research at MUK's doctoral program.
