Nadja Räss is a Professor at the Lucerne School of Music (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts), specializing in Folk Music. She holds a Master in Pedagogy from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). Her expertise centers on Swiss yodeling (Jodel), blending traditional and contemporary forms. She teaches 'Jodel' since 2018 and conducts private vocal lessons.

Research interests include preserving and innovating Swiss folk music traditions. Collaborations with artists like Markus Flückiger and groups such as Alderbuebe have expanded her artistic reach. Awards include the Prix Walo (2015) and the Kultur-Anerkennungspreis (2015). She co-organized 'Zukunft Volksmusik' through the Lucerne School of Music and leads the 'Jodelforum' project to promote yodeling.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Institute of Jazz and Folk Music, collaborating with interdisciplinary groups to explore vocal and cultural musicology.
