Dr. Donna Bridges is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Charles Sturt University, specializing in gender and work theory, feminist qualitative research, and organizational sociology. She holds a PhD from the University of Western Sydney, focusing on women's roles in the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Her current research includes projects on gendered dynamics in social work, resilience among women in manual trades, and workplace inequality in paramedicine. She has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and co-edited books on gender studies. Bridges is affiliated with the Environmental and Social Justice Research Group and the Gender Network at her university. She received the Nevile-Plowman Award in 2023 for her contributions to labor relations research. Her teaching interests include higher education pedagogy and professional development.
