معرفی
Dr. Dongyin Guan is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, holding joint appointments in the Department of Medicine (Endocrinology) and Molecular & Cellular Biology. He is a member of the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center and Texas Medical Center Digestive Diseases Center. His research explores how environmental and genetic factors influence physiological rhythms through epigenomic mechanisms, with implications for metabolic diseases like obesity and fatty liver disease.
Education: PhD (Case Western Reserve University), Postdoctoral Fellowship (University of Pennsylvania).
Research Interests: The Guan Lab uses functional epigenomics to investigate circadian disruption in metabolic disorders. Key focuses include chrono-pharmacological interventions and multi-omics approaches to liver disease. Recent work in Science (2020) revealed how hepatocyte clocks coordinate opposing metabolic processes.
Awards & Funding: CPRIT Scholar Award, NIDDK K01 Career Development Award.
Lab & Team: The lab recruits PhD students and postdocs for collaborative projects integrating genomics and metabolic phenotyping. Current grants support therapeutic innovations for circadian-related disorders.
