معرفی
Dr. Alli Antar is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Their research focuses on understanding the links between nutrient metabolism and health, with a particular emphasis on obesity, fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Antar holds memberships in several institutes, including the Inclusion and Excellence Council, Cardiovascular Research Institute, and Center for Research in Obesity and Nutrition.
Education includes a PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine. Awards include the ENDO2010 Presidential Poster Competition Award and the AHA Postdoctoral Fellowship Award.
Research interests span three core areas: adipocyte metabolism, hepatocyte metabolism, and immunometabolism. Dr. Antar's lab uses advanced techniques such as molecular biology, in vivo metabolic phenotyping, and transgenic mice to study disease mechanisms. Recent publications highlight breakthroughs in hepatic stellate cell regulation, vitamin B2's role in glucose metabolism, and novel insights into brown adipose tissue physiology.
