معرفی
Dongyan Zhang is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Endocrinology at Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. Their research focuses on metabolic disorders, diabetes, and cardiovascular biology, with a particular emphasis on insulin resistance mechanisms, mitochondrial function, and therapeutic interventions. Collaborations include work with prominent researchers such as Gerald I. Shulman, Rafael Calais Gaspar, and Mario Kahn.
Key research interests include understanding how exercise and pharmacological agents influence metabolic pathways in muscle and liver tissues, as well as investigating the role of lipids and signaling molecules in inflammation and insulin resistance. Recent studies have explored SGLT2 inhibitors’ effects on heart failure, ceramide synthesis inhibitors’ impact on insulin signaling, and calcium-mediated regulation of hepatic metabolism.
- Education and Affiliations: Primary appointment in Endocrinology; cross-listed in Internal Medicine.
