Doneka Scott

Doneka R. Scott is the Vice Chancellor and Dean for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs at North Carolina State University, where she also holds a secondary appointment as a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development, College of Education. She leads a comprehensive division integrating academic and student support services across the university, advancing student success, equity, and holistic development.

Her educational background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from the same institution.

Scott’s research centers on student success, particularly access, retention, and progression of underrepresented students in higher education, and the role of implicit bias in healthcare disparities. She integrates her expertise in toxicology and emergency medicine with educational leadership to promote inclusive curricula and equitable learning environments. Her scholarly work bridges pharmacy education and higher education policy, focusing on cultural competency, diversity, and leadership development.

She currently serves on the boards of the Reinvention Collaborative and the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, reflecting her commitment to both educational innovation and community engagement.
