Donald Curran, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (General Medicine) at Yale School of Medicine. He holds roles as Chief of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic Firm Chief in Primary Care at the Veterans Administration Connecticut Healthcare System. His work focuses on internal medicine, transgender health, and clinical guidelines for chronic conditions like asthma and prostatitis.
Education includes a BA from State University of New York at Binghamton (1988), MD from SUNY Syracuse (1993), residency at The New York Hospital (1996), and an MSc from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (2001). He is board-certified in Internal Medicine since 1996.
Research interests include improving healthcare delivery in primary care settings, transgender patient care, and asthma management. He contributed to VA/DoD asthma guidelines and authored chapters on prostatitis and transgender health in the Yale Office-based Medicine Curriculum.
