Dolores Asensio is an Assistant Professor at the University of Bozen-Bolzano, affiliated with the Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences. A plant biologist and ecologist by training, her research focuses on plant-soil-atmosphere feedbacks and ecosystem responses to global change factors.
Her current work centers on the CLEVAS project, investigating grapevine stress responses to climate extremes. Previously, she studied biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs), plant carbon allocation, and soil microbial dynamics under drought, warming, and nitrogen fertilization.
She teaches courses in
