Diwakar Kishore

Diwakar Kishore is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the London School of Economics (LSE), affiliated with the Department of Social Policy and the International Inequalities Institute. He focuses on Microeconomics, Econometrics, and policies addressing Inequality of Opportunity, particularly in Education and Health. His work explores accountability mechanisms in public services and their impact on reducing disparities.

Before LSE, Diwakar worked at the World Bank on initiatives to improve education outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa, maternal health in Central Asia, and food security in Southeast Asia. He also served as a commercial lawyer in private equity and a legal aid advocate in Bihar, India.

His current research integrates law, policy, and quantitative methods to analyze systemic inequalities. He teaches as a graduate teaching assistant for Social Security Policies and holds degrees from National Law School of India University (BA LLB), the University of Oxford (MPP), and Harvard University (MEdPol).

Research interests include leveraging technology for equitable education, governance reforms in public health, and interdisciplinary approaches to policy evaluation.
