Dr. Rekha Diwakar is a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Sussex since May 2013, previously holding a Lecturer position in Politics at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is affiliated with the Sussex Asia Centre and teaches undergraduate modules including 'Political Change: India' (Year 3) and 'Politics of Governance: India' (Year 2), alongside designing the postgraduate module 'Politics and Governance in India' for the MA International Politics programme.
Her academic foundation centers on a PhD investigating the determinants of Indian party system size, with subsequent research published in international journals including a recent analysis of the 2014 Indian national elections in 'Electoral Studies'.
