Dinorah Sánchez Loza is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University, affiliated with the Latino/a Studies Program. Her research examines how schooling intersects with race, class, and political ideologies, particularly through US Government classrooms in central Ohio schools. She holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, MA from Columbia University, and BS from Northwestern University.

Her research focuses on settler colonialism theories, democratic processes in racialized contexts, and civic education pedagogy. Current projects analyze political ideologies among white adolescent girls and the role of schooling in shaping public engagement.
- Awards: NAS/Ford Dissertation Fellowship, Eugene Cota Robles Fellowship, Arthur Zankel Fellowship
Prior to academia, she taught English and Drama in Los Angeles, provided teacher training in the Dominican Republic, and designed critical research programs in Oakland, CA. She currently holds grants from The Women’s Place (OSU) to study political socialization processes.
