- Harper-Schmidt Postdoctoral Fellow – Society of Fellows, University of Chicago

Her research interests center on the intellectual and cultural history of 20th-century Europe, particularly the aftermath of empires, cosmopolitan thought during wartime, and the history of forced displacement. She explores how ideas of Europe emerged from the decline of continental empires and how intellectuals navigated political upheaval. Her work bridges academic scholarship with public engagement through film, radio, and podcasts.
Her recent publications reflect a broad engagement with themes such as internment during WWII, the emotional politics of cultural change, and the intellectual legacies of figures like Cassirer, Spengler, and Coudenhove-Kalergi. The articles show a consistent focus on transnational networks, political emotions, and the moral dimensions of historical change, often drawing on multilingual and interdisciplinary sources.
