Dr. Digvir S. Jayas is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba's Price Faculty of Engineering. He holds professional registrations as a P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) and P.Ag. (Professional Agrologist). His academic journey includes degrees from G.B. Pant University (India), University of Manitoba, and University of Saskatchewan, culminating in a D.Sc. in 2019.

**Awards & Recognition**: Recipient of the 2017 Sukup Global Food Security Award, 2008 Brockhouse Canada Prize, and 2018 Officer of the Order of Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and holds over 1,000 technical publications.
