Dieter Grimm is a prominent legal scholar and former judge. He served as Professor of Public Law at Humboldt University Berlin (2000–2007) and previously held the same position at the University of Bielefeld (1984–1990). He was Rector of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin (2002–2007) and a Judge of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany (1987–1999). His research focuses on comparative constitutional law, legal theory, and constitutional history.
